When domesticated, they are often raised to be hunting/foraging animals.

Powerful noses! They have a heightened sense of smell and taste, and are able to tell the difference between poisonous and edible plants, fruits, and mushrooms.
Their claws allow them to pierce soil easily, and their large palms allow them to scoop dirt aside like shovels.
