Masks are the first creature to be created within the Universe of Quleisejul. Their surviving in the Void before the creation of any planet earned them a patient nature. When life began to first appear, they treasured it, and swore to keep it safe. Their memories and stories stretch to the beginning of time, making them an invaluable wellspring of knowledge. They have innate, powerful magic that few can rival. But they choose to share it with those they trust.

Masks have inconsistent appearances. They might be coated in scales, some might be soft skinned, some may have many eyes across their skull, and some may not have any eyes at all. It's as though their body does not know what rules it should apply to. And this is reasonable. They were never created to adhere to any natural laws, being born beyond a planet, and being the first creation of a child-god.

Older Masks may have writings etched into their skin. These are usually enchantments or wards, however sometimes they write the names of their loved ones that they've lost throughout their life. And for a Mask. a creature that has witnessed the life and death of entire planets- there are many.
